Minor Update v0.1.1 & Next Plan
Hello, everyone! First of all, I want to thank everyone who has played Lacrimal. Thank you very much!
This game was made specifically for Spooktober 6th. Currently, the total playtime of the game is around 15 minutes, containing only one puzzle. It was supposed to be a short game, but not this short. It's only about 15% of the game, but unfortunately, that was all I could do during the jam.
As I'm getting quite attached to this project, I plan to keep this project going until I eventually release the full length of the game.
As for this short jam version, I also made several updates to make the flow better. Credits to Hikiyami Moriko for a lot of useful feedback which was taken into consideration when this update was made.
This minor update includes:
- Main Menu
- Dialogue Logs. It is an important feature since some dialogue may contain hints to solve the puzzle
- Visual hints for the puzzle to indicate the interactable area
- Audio adjustments
- Fixed minor dialogue flow bugs
As for the next step, I want to focus more on the full version of the game. Since this is no longer tied to any deadline, I want to take more time to do some research to make everything better, especially for the story and puzzle. I also need to create the rest of the assets, and polish the existing. So, the next major update may take a long time, but I hope it's worth it.
The short jam version may still be updated in the future if there's a bug or a critical issue that kind of breaks the flow.
